One of my favourite plants in the garden at this time of year is Lobelia speciosa x Pink Elephant. It looks great with the poppy heads and will look equally good when the white Orlaya flowers open. Aside from being a lovely plant, it has the added virtue of having slightly hairy leaves which means the slugs and snails leave them alone unlike L.cardinalis which they munch to extinction in my garden. It is available from hardys-plants.
