Sometimes you look in the obvious places and you just cant find the right thing. For instance finding the right fencing can be tricky unless you have serious money available, otherwise it all looks pretty much of a muchness. Or you want to fence your allotment and dont want to pay garden centre prices for fence posts and wire netting. My solution is to trawl through websites that sell products to farmers and smallholders to see if I can find alternative solutions at good prices. This is how I came across Yorkshire Boarding and Cladding which would be good fencing for a vegetable patch and Stockboarding (also less alluringly known as Dungboard) which is a sturdy timber alternative to breezeblock walling and possibly just the thing to retain the terraces on our hilly allotment.
